With "Western Heroes" Michael Köhlmeier continues his popular series of American myths together with Hans Theessink. Michael Köhlmeier tells of the not so well known sides of the "Western heroes", congenially accompanied by Hans Theessink, who contributes appropriate music from Bob Dylan to his own compositions. The Wild West, which carried its ideas of freedom and adventure out into the whole world, produced many heroes. He examines the hero myth of the gunslingers through the biographies of Billy the Kid, one of the most famous legendary figures in Western history. They are joined by the bandits Jesse James, those involved in the shootout at the O. K. Corral, and the gunslinger John Wesley Hardin. There are numerous legends surrounding all of them, which will come to life on this evening.
