HECTOR BERLIOZ
Symphonie fantastique, C major

ORCHESTRA SINFONICA DI MILANO
EMMANUEL TJEKNAVORIAN Conductor
KIRON ATOM TELLIAN Piano

A new era in music began in 1830 with Hector Berlioz and his brilliantly autobiographical Symphonie fantastique. Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Austrian Armenian, violinist and increasingly successful conductor, will be conducting the Milan Symphony Orchestra on this evening of romantic emotion and harmonic artistry, of which he has been the conductor since the 2024/25 season. The only 22-year-old Austrian pianist Kiron Atom Tellian began his piano studies in Vienna at the age of seven and is a young man who has already been showered with prizes. Audiences and the press are always impressed by the ‘bravura and maturity’ of his playing. In Salzburg he will play Sergei Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto, one of the great pianistic revelations of the so-called late romantic period, full of passion and beautiful melancholy.
