At the invitation of the Salzburger Kulturvereinigung, exciting musical worlds and artists come together in the Große Festspielhaus. A meeting of saxophone quartet and orchestra as well as fiery rhythms from two Americas, North and South. With their energy and joy of playing, the four young musicians of SIGNUM regularly inspire full concert halls. Their joy of experimentation and versatility are also reflected in the original programmes. The first collaboration with Salzburg's outstanding ensemble, the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg under the direction of Ido Arad, promises to be an encounter of a special kind. This concert evening brings together fascinating compositions from North and South America, such as Bob Mintzer's work "Rhythm of the Americas", which also lends the evening its title, as well as rousing works by George Gershwin, Aaron Copland, Arturo Márquez and Leonard Bernstein.
