Cello and piano dance tango. With "Pasión Tango", the duo Friedrich Kleinhapl and Kim Barbier focus on the virtuosity of tango in small ensemble and on the uncompromising passion of South American temperament with European depth. The program of this concert with reading includes the most famous representatives of this genre, from Astor Piazolla to Carlos Gardel. "Pasión Tango" puts the whole greatness of this music in a new, rousing light: rich in color and contrast, uncompromising and full of tension. Actor Fritz Karl rounds out the program with personal recollections of Astor Piazolla and lively tales of the tango.
