Even after the Beethoven Year, one must still play Beethoven's violin concerto. Especially with a highly talented young man like Daniel Lozakovich, born in 2001, as soloist, about whom the feature pages write: "Lozakovich is a serious and serious artist, he already plays like a great one - or, perhaps one should say it more like this: like one of the old ones. The tone ... carries something of the romantic warmth of his idols Christian Ferras or Jascha Heifetz."
For the first time, the Estonian National Orchestra can be experienced in the Great Festival Hall, with the living and very much alive legend Neeme Järvi, the progenitor of a dynasty of conductors, so to speak, and for decades chief conductor of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, on the podium. After the intermission, the score of Johannes Brahms' first serenade will be on the podium, with which the composer wanted to pave the way to the great symphony - and which is almost one.
Unfortunately, the introductory lectures before our subscription concerts cannot take place this season due to corona-related conditions.
