French maestro Alain Altinoglu and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra are the top-class interpreters of great German Romanticism on this evening. The Norwegian Vilde Frang is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated violinists of our time, a strong personality with charisma and sovereign virtuosity. This time she performs the Violin Concerto, one of Robert Schumann's last works, published long after the composer's death and filled with resounding poetry and visionary harmony.
