Neeme Järvi is particularly interested in the music of Northern Europe. Thus, the internationally acclaimed maestro has brought with him not only the national orchestra of his homeland, but also music from Estonia. Arvo Pärt's meditative spirituality is also well known in the West. But who knows Eduard Tubin? He was the greatest composer in Estonia before Pärt and a late romantic symphonist full of original ideas. It is high time that one of his ten symphonies is heard in Salzburg. The fifth was his first after emigrating to Sweden in 1947. The Brahms Violin Concerto is always a favourite. Especially with a highly talented young man like Daniel Lozakovich, born in 2001, as soloist, about
the feuilleton writes: "Lozakovich is a serious and serious artist, he already plays like a great one - or, perhaps one should say it more like this: like one of the old ones. The tone [...] carries something of the romantic warmth of his idols Christian Ferras or Jascha Heifetz".
Unfortunately, the introductory lectures before our subscription concerts cannot take place this season due to corona-related conditions.
Single tickets: € 26 - € 89
