Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra play instead of Würth Philharmonic Orchestra
Both New Year's concerts will be taken over by the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra and Elisabeth Fuchs at short notice. Pianist Lars Vogt will play as planned.
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Unfortunately, the Würth Philharmonic Orchestra cannot come to Salzburg, as the entire orchestra has to go into quarantine due to two cases of omicron.
However, both New Year's concerts (3 p.m. & 7 p.m., Großes Festspielhaus) can take place, as the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra and Elisabeth Fuchs have agreed to take over the concerts at short notice.
We are also pleased to announce that pianist Lars Vogt will play as planned.
Due to the circumstances, there is the following program change:
(1st part unchanged, 2nd part NEW)
LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN
Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 5, E-flat major, op. 73
