At the New Year's concerts in the afternoon and evening, jazz, swing and Brazilian rhythms set the tone. Elisabeth Fuchs and the Philharmonie Salzburg will play a programme in which it will not be easy for the New Year audience to sit still. As a congenial partner for these spirited sounds, the Salzburg Cultural Association invites Fabio Martino to perform together. The young pianist from Sao Paolo takes the audience and critics by storm. He is regarded as a "magician at the piano" and visibly enjoys the limelight. With the Fantasia Brasileira he also performs a composition by his compatriot Francisco Mignone.
